Another UW/FoW Free Weekend
With all the Weekend Events that have graced the GW log in screen over the years, I think one Weekend Event that I would like to see make at least one comeback and loosely thrown into the rotation of current Weekend Events was the "FoW and UW Free Access Weekend" from way back in March 2007.
Now granted that was when territory favor was controlled by HA, but I really think it would be great to see it make a comeback. Not that I actually mind it, but it sure would be nice for a change to not have to pay 1k or use scrolls for a weekend where people can freely try FoW or UW and try new builds for farming or whatever.

Yeah, the game is a bit different since the last weekend of this kind. It doesn't seem like downtimes of favor happen very often, and if they do, there are relatively cheap scrolls that can be purchased to enter those elite realms anyways at any time. We really don't need a weekend event like this anymore.

i think that would be a really good idea. the guy above me is such a lil negative nancy. i think it'd be awesome to be able to experiment w/o having to waste 1k every run

Yeah, the downtime for favor is definitely very minimal compared to what it was back in the day. All I can remember was how long Europe,Tawain, or Korea held favor. I am glad that is no longer the case.
I personally think it would be more of a lift off the financial burden for some people as well as open exploration and try new builds. I'll admit, I feel a lot of people would agree, that they wouldn't want to develop a great solo/duo/team build on paper only for it to fail within the first 5 (or however many) minutes. 1k or a scroll is cheap compared to some prices in GW (and everyone should have at least 1k), but I really started to think about the overall picture of everyone. The more runs you do, things start to add up. Granted I don't have a financial burden to pay these fees, but I really started to think about the people that might. With UW and FoW counting towards HoM as well as the Black Widow Spider, there are a lot of people that don't want to pay for a Spider Run or want to go through the potential bothersome of having to pay several plats to complete UW or FoW because of (insert reason here). People I think much rather use that money on trying to max out their other titles (drunkard, sweet tooth, Zaishen, etc.).

At least once a year should be done. And that quest given in Halloween, The Waiting Game, it's a good way to lure people into the Underworld so they get better acquainted with it.
One thing is knowing the place without monsters, and other is going down there to do 'serious' stuff.

No use for free UW/FoW access, the only way to get in there is...
1) Friends/guildies with lots of time
2) SC
At least give us full Hero parties before they do something like this again.

The SoS build can clear out all the mobs, if you're really patient. That was not the point, though. You were complaining about not being able to "get in" and that's just bs.

True, what I meant though is that there's no possible way to go through the Underworld in normal, balanced way without being forced into speed clears or unless you have nice friends or guildies with decent Heroes.
